My life is proof positive that God can and will use anyone who is willing. I was born in Chandler, Oklahoma on September 12th 1961. I was raised in Luther, OK. I am the baby in a family of three children. Let's skip a few years now to November 1972. I accepted Jesus during a revival service and life was brand new. I was a new creation. My little heart was ready to serve the Lord. Would I always? As a matter of fact I have. There were some rough times in my life, but through it all I have always known that God had begun a good work in me, and He would be faithful to complete it. Music has always been a big love in my life. I never needed a television as long as I had a radio. I would listen for hours just wondering what it would be like to make music the way my favorite artists did. Skip a few more years now. God has really blessed me with a beautiful wife and two wonderful red headed kids. And as a bonus HE has allowed me to minister to people eveywhere through songwriting and playing with the Wayne Alan Band. God has been very good to me, and I am excited to share with you the best news you could ever hear. Jesus Christ gave himself for you. His offer of eternal life still stands, and He wants to give it to you today. Talk to Him about it!

Drums and Vocals

I started playing drums when I was 14 years old. The first drum kit I ever played on was an old Ludwig set bought for my older sister Brenda, but she never showed any interest in playing, but I did and I was hooked. Thanks sis. I was asked to be the fill in drummer at my home church when the full time drummer was away at college. After two years I became the full time drummer. I played on tour with the Central Oklahoma Youth Choir in 1996, 1997 and 2000. I auditioned for the Wayne Alan Band in 2002 and the rest as they say is HIStory in the making.

My dad bought me my first guitar and amp when I was 15 years old and told me he didn't want to hear any noise. I have always tried to live up to his request. I have played ever since with varying degrees of commitment, actually putting down the guitar for 4 years to complete a college degree. However, the desire was still there and it wasn't long before I was playing again. I played with a country/western band for about 4 years in Lawton, OK. I worked with, and played music with, Joe Diffie for about a year. I also formed several ill fated rock bands in that same town. I moved to Oklahoma City in 1990 and joined a classic rock band that I stayed with for about 4 years also. During all the years I played, I had a yearning to do something positive with my guitar playing....something more than just being background music for people to party by. As a youth, I had given my life to Jesus Christ (although I saw later that my commitment to Him was less than my commitment to music). However; I didn't give myself fully to Him. There was always a part of me that persisted in doing what I wanted to do, not what He wanted me to do. I finally surrendered to what I had known all along... to be in God's will, I had to give myself fully to God. Once I did that, God began to work in my life in ways that amazed me. I am married to a wonderful woman, Patti, I have two great stepsons, a son and a daughter and God continues to show me His greatness at every turn of my life. He led me to the band I think He has been preparing me for all my life...serving God with my music in the Wayne Alan Band.

Bass Guitar and Vocals

I have been a musician for many years. I started playing trumpet in grade school when I was 11 years old, and played all the way through high school, (Stage band, concert band and marching band). When I graduated, I continued playing the trumpet in the church. Not long after, I began to teach myself to play the bass guitar. I would soon have the opportunity to  learn to play drums for the church I was attending. I have played for several church bands over the last 35 years. I have been in what I consider two major groups...one being "Omega Sonrise" a contemporary christian rock band, and second being the "Wayne Alan Band", a christian country/southern rock band. I have done an extensive amount of recording, and have had the opportunities to travel. I've played many outdoor events, weddings, street-rod shows, fairs and festivals. SInce my youth, I believe the Lord has put a burning desire within me to minister His word through music. All of my God given talents I owe to Him!
